British born, I learnt photography first in Germany assisting Studio Car Photographer, Frank Nowak.
I have a lot to thank Frank. He taught me how photography worked and how to capture light. He spent 2 years working me hard, teaching me cameras (every format), lighting (every type), film processing, black & white printing the list goes on. Most importantly of all I thank him for teaching me to LOOK. When you think you have a good picture, LOOK again. Can it be better if we change the perspective ?
I went on to work with Fashion & Advertising photographers in Germany and London for a further 8 years and enjoyed a short career as a fashion photographer before moving to the South of France.
